Community Involvement
When it comes to caring for people in Marlton and all the surrounding areas, Dr. Kristin Petulla, Dr. Jennifer Kazemi, and our entire team are dedicated to serving every member of our local and global communities, both inside our office and beyond. We volunteer with, participate in, and provide funding for numerous community organizations and educational programs. Thanks to our wonderful patients, we have been able to contribute over $100,000 dollars to these great programs. If you’d like to find out more about our community involvement or how you can make a difference with us, please don’t hesitate to ask during your next visit or contact us today.
Smiles for Life Foundation
The Smiles for Life Foundation is a children's charity organization of the Crown Council - an alliance of dentists throughout the US and Canada who are dedicated to superior dental care and active community involvement.
Each year, these dentists donate their whitening services to the Smiles for Life Foundation. Through a unique partnership with Garth Brooks and his Teammates for Kids Foundation, 100% of the funds raised by Smiles For Life goes directly to benefit needy children with an emphasis on health, education and inner city programs.
Whiten Your Smile.....Brighten a Child's Life
From March 1 to June 30, you can save money and time by having Dr. Petulla or Dr. Kazemi, as participating Crown Council dentists, professionally whiten your teeth.
100% of the proceeds are donated to the Smiles for Life Foundation to help children facing serious health conditions and educational deficiencies in our community, and throughout North America.

UrbanPromise
Founded in 1988, UrbanPromise provides summer camps and after school programs for youth who may not otherwise have a safe location to go to for fun, friendship, and activity. The organization began with one small program in nearby East Camden, NJ, and now there are UrbanPromise programs throughout the Americas, in Africa, and around the globe. We love having the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for this great local program that is having a profound global impact. Therefore, each year 50% of the funds we raise through our Smiles For Life Teeth Whitening Program go directly to support UrbanPromise in Camden, NJ.
St. Jude Children’s Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been providing care for children with life threatening illnesses since 1962. Despite the ever growing costs of caring for the children in their Memphis, TN hospital, no family ever pays for their child’s care. The hospital is funded entirely by the goodwill and donations of people like our team and community. We are proud to provide support for St. Jude through our involvement with Smiles For Life, and would love the additional support of our patients. Please join us in raising awareness about this fantastic program.
Dental Lifeline Network
In the US, there are numerous organizations that help underserved populations get the medical care they need, but in many cases, this neglects their oral health care needs. That’s where the Dental Lifeline Network comes in. Established in 1974, this charitable organization ensures access to dental care for patients who have a permanent disability, are over the age of 65, or who are medically fragile and could not otherwise afford the costs of necessary dental services. Our office has donated dental treatment to qualified patients since 1999, and will continue to help as many as possible receive the care they need.
The Food Bank of South Jersey
The Food Bank of South Jersey was founded in 1985 by 13 individuals who shared the belief that no one should go hungry. It has become a trusted beacon of hope, feeding hundreds of thousands of residents in need each year, and helping renew people’s faith in the kindness of humanity. This is the very reason our practice was first drawn to support this great cause. The Food Bank of South Jersey provides an urgent solution for people to turn to when they are hungry and cannot afford to buy food. Over the years, more than 150 million pounds of food has been distributed by them, including fresh, nutritious meals to vulnerable children, and boxes full of healthy groceries to seniors. Each year, we invite our patients to bring in non-perishable food items when they come in for their dental appointments. Our Annual Food Drive begins in September and runs through Mid-December. Even if you do not have a dental appointment, or are not a patient of record with us, feel free to stop in with a donation; it will be greatly appreciated. As they say, “Live Local, Give Local”.
