Following in the footsteps of her father, the original owner of the practice, Dr. Petulla discovered a passion for dentistry at an early age. Assisting him in the dentist’s office, she learned more about his approach, which included more holistic dentistry near Cherry Hill.
Working alongside her father, her interest in the arts and healthcare led her to attend Elizabethtown College for her undergraduate degree before enrolling at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Afterward, she finished a residency in General Dentistry at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. Since then, she has continued to hone her skills through various courses led by dental experts from around the world. She completed advanced training at the Las Vegas Institute and the Astra Dental Headquarters in Sweden.
Her commitment to the field is evident through her active involvement in various professional organizations, such as the Crown Council of Dentists, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Southern Dental Society.
Outside of the office, Dr. Petulla enjoys cooking, exercising, and traveling, but one of her greatest passions is horses. A participant in showjumping competitions, she has been active since she was 13 years old.
It gives her great pleasure to be able to enjoy these activities and more alongside her husband and their daughter, Taegan.
Dr. Kazemi grew up with parents who did not have access to good dental care. Originally from Taiwan, they emigrated to the United States and continued to stress the importance of good oral healthcare to her and her brother.
Once in the U.S., they found a dentist that surprisingly, lived in their neighborhood. His ability to create positive experiences for patients led Dr. Kazemi to become interested in dentistry, especially after learning that she needed braces. Undergoing treatment with a female orthodontist, she was amazed at her smile transformation and decided that she, too, wanted to help people similarly.
Attending the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate degree, she decided to submatriculate to the university’s School of Dental Medicine, allowing her to complete her undergraduate and dental degrees in seven years. After obtaining her DMD degree in 2000, she pursued a General Practice Residency at Virtua Hospital in 2001 before going to work in private practice.
Nowadays, she regularly pursues continuing education opportunities and has traveled to the Nobel Biocare Headquarters in Yorba Linda, CA. There, she studied Nobel Biocare implants and their design and restoration. She also traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden, to visit the Astra headquarters, where she took a comprehensive course on the design and prosthetic components of Astra implants.
Dr. Kazemi joined Dr. Petulla in 2015 and now, they both oversee a growing team of professionals who remain committed to optimal patient health and well-being.
When Dr. Kazemi is not busy taking care of patients’ smiles, you’ll likely find her spending time with her husband, Shahin, and their two children. She also enjoys doing Zumba, watching her daughter’s Track & Field Meets, visiting her son in college, and traveling to various countries.
I was in a lot of pain over the weekend. I called Monday morning and was able to get an appointment with Dr Jenn Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived Terry took an x-ray and Dr Jenn said I needed a root canal. She adjusted my bite to help relieve the pain.
