Our patient, a 55 year old female who had a history of breaking her front teeth on a Coke bottle when she was a teenager, came to us for determining the best replacement of old dental bondings that were quite worn, discolored and rough.
The left, before photo, shows the patient's teeth after removal of the old bonding material.
The patient's goal was to have front teeth that would appear and feel natural (to produce the best cosmetic result), along with matching her existing teeth. During her consultation it was discovered that she had fractures on her central incisors (teeth adjacent to the 2 front teeth).
For obtaining the best in strength and long term endurance, our patient decided to have Dr. Petulla place 2 Empress porcelain crowns and 2 custom made porcelain veneers.
The cosmetic outcome exceeded the expectations of our patient and enabled her to enjoy a more normal dental function that she hadn't experienced for many, many years.
